Dan and I knew each other since 7th grade. After high school we became close friends. Dan was a big part of my life up until he passed. He was family to my wife Laurie and I and our five boys. Dan was a great guy with a hugh heart who would give you his last dollar. But nice words don't do justice to describe the wonderful person Dan truly was. He never married or had children but he lived life to the fullest. Whether he was living in Brazil for a couple years or going to every concert he could or traveling with his friends and family, he took advantage of every moment he had. As Dan and I used to say, "he smoked it down to the filter". Dan was very close to his immediate and extended family. He was visiting his Dad and family in Cleveland and had a heart attack. He passed away on October 22nd 2018. Just before he left, my son Kevin and I had Dan over for dinner, never thinking it would be the last time we saw him. My son Kevin, Laurie and I went to Cleveland for the service. I will always cherish our friendship and will love and miss Dan every day.
